Revitalizing the youth in the Boise neighborhood who have become disenfranchised from their own community.

Purpose: To bring the business and youth community together in the Boise neighborhood area (higher goal of creating a replicable model for other communities)

 

Why: Because of the growth of the area, youth have been disenfranchised from their own community creating a disconnect between businesses and youth.

 

How: Businesses donate money to Portland OIC, a local non-profit to fund BBYUP. Portland OIC hires and supervises local youth placed in local businesses.



The Boise Business Youth Unity Project (BBYUP) is a community based project that Over the past several years as the Boise neighborhood has revitalized the youth in the Boise neighborhood have become disenfranchised from their own community creating a disconnect between businesses and youth. 

 

The Boise Youth Employment Project has been developed to help alleviate this tension.
